Welcome to Twin Oaks/Birches Health Care Charitable Foundation

Formed in 1997 with the merger of The Twin Oaks Hospital Foundation and The Birches Foundation, both of these organizations have been fundraising for the Musquodoboit Harbour community – entirely through the work of volunteers.

A new WINNER is announced on the first TUESDAY of every month.

Twin Oaks/Birches Health Care Charitable Foundation's 50/50 is a monthly online raffle fundraiser supporting both the Twin Oaks Hospital and The Birches Nursing Home. 50% of the ticket sales will be awarded to the Nova Scotian who purchased the winning ticket number, and the remaining 50% (less fees) will go to the foundation.

Funds raised by the foundation go towards the care and comfort of residents and patients who are not covered by the province.

Trivia Night May 21st, 2025

We were thrilled to bring our community together for a fun Trivia Night in support of our Foundation. Hosted at the Porters Lake Pub , the evening was filled with friendly competition, laughter, and incredible generosity. We welcomed 19 teams , all eager to test their trivia knowledge while supporting a great cause. Thanks to the enthusiasm and generosity of everyone involved, the event raised an impressive $1,925 in support of the Twin Oaks Birches Foundation. Congratulati

Congratulations to the 2025 Harland Dooks Memorial Bursary winners Brianna Desmond, Alissa Conrod, and Abigail Hill-Nugent. This annual bursary, presented by the Twin Oaks/Birches Health Care Charitable Foundation, supports deserving Grade 12 graduates as they take the next step in their educational journey.
